Haiku Code Drive

The Haiku Code Drive is a program designed to raise funds from the community in order to sponsor students to produce code for Haiku. The Haiku Code Drive program specifically targets student candidates that applied for Haiku but could not make it into the Google Summer of Code. We are offering them a U$2,500 stipend per successfully completed project.

In 2010 the Haiku Code Drive was refined, to provide established contributors with contractual development opportunities. Visit Haiku, Inc.'s Funded Development page, to read more.

Goals

The Haiku Code Drive program was thought out on the basis of achieving the following goals:

  • Give the community an opportunity to make donations against tangible goals.
  • Allow the community to directly influence where the donated funds go.
